Climb Every Mountain

February 16, 2016

I took this sitting before Christmas. We took all sorts of family groups with Great Grandmother, Grandmother and the grandkids. When they were leaving, Grandmother wanted Great Grandmother behind the wheel of her daughter-in-law's Hummer parked out in the studio parking lot. It was a quick shot and it wasn't until later when I had the idea for the mountain come into my mind. The family had the same idea, because they asked me if I could do it and I was already two steps ahead.

All of the images used in the composite were taken along the hillside across the street from the studio. Most of these elements are pretty small but look larger in the perspective of the composite. I used two different images of the kids to add a little more excitement of movement.

To take the image another step further, I decided to add a group shot in the studio with the most serious expressions I got. Pretty much Great Grandmother was the only one who fit the theme.
